Thoughts About The Ceramic Bronze Canister Set
We actually bought the Ceramic Bronze Canister Set from the Gracious Goods collection more as a decoration than for any purposeful use. It serves a decorative role quite well - it's very shiny and gives off a nice antiquated feel when placed in the right environment. For some reason, it makes me feel like I'm living in an English castle from the 1500's when I'm admiring the dining room. A strange feeling for something so simple, but maybe the fresh style is just so different from what I'm used to.
As for how we actually use it, well it currently serves as a cookie or candy jar for the kids. Maybe not so great an idea considering, once again, the price of the item. And the fact that they're actually made of ceramic and not bronze (but look like they're made of bronze). But hey, we haven't come up with any better ways of using them yet. Any suggestions would be welcome.
Once again, I should emphasize that this item is ceramic, and not bronze, so try not to drop it or anything! The craftsmanship is superb as usual, especially the cast iron base that each canister sits in. It's filled with intricate details and I really wonder how much time it took to carve out every little detail. It's got a high price in the range of hundreds, but I like the look of it, and that's good enough for me.
My Review of the Gracious Goods Small Beverage Server
Hi folks, I know it's been a while. But I'm finally here with a review! My wife and I started revamping the dining room a month or two back. We wanted to go for a more elegant, extravagant look. Perhaps like Victorian. Finding the wallpaper was the easy part. Unfortunately, the furniture and the rest were not as easy to come by! Not to mention not as cheap either.
Anyways, I decided that our first new furnishings should be somewhat functional instead of just pretty, which is when I came across the Gracious Goods Small Beverage Server. It solves a need that none of our existing items could, and its come quite in handy for serving out punch and lemonade during the parties we host every so often.
Best of all, I really like the look. Something about the wavy patterns in the glass and the sparkling metal really works well to enhance the appeal of the drinks inside. It's definitely better than a regular drink dispenser, for sure. When we're not having a party, we use it as a filtered water dispenser, and it's been peforming quite well in that role as well.
The quality of the craftsmanship seems pretty refined also. If you're going for a nice new look, this beverage server will work perfectly. The price was pretty steep, but if you really care about the appearance of your dining room or kitchen area, to me it's seemed worth it so far.
